Social poster
“Social poster” means two different things. Let's get you to yours.
Search those two words and you get poster templates, stock images and half a dozen scheduling apps, all talking over each other. The fix is simple: work out which one you actually came for, then choose well. This page does both — and if the answer is not us, it says so.

A poster for social media
A designed graphic — an offer, an event, a menu — sized for a feed. If that is what you came for, you want a design tool, not us: Canva or Adobe Express to make one, Adobe Stock or Freepik if you would rather start from someone else's. They are excellent at this and mostly free.
The giveaway: you want a template you can edit.
Software that posts for you
Software that takes a photo and a line about your business, writes and designs the post, and publishes it on a schedule. You are not buying a template here — you are buying back the evening you would have spent making one.

And, awkwardly, it is also how our name is said
SocialPostxr is said “social poster”. That is the whole trick of the name — it sounds exactly like what it does — and it is probably why you are here.
If you were looking for us, you have found us. If you were after a poster template, the section above is the honest answer and it is not us.

Quite a few products trade under this name, and choosing between them from their own homepages is harder than it should be. So we did the ten minutes for you. So which should you actually pick?
There is no best one. There is a best one for your situation — so here it is by situation, and you will notice most of these answers are not us. That is what makes the one that is worth something.
- You want to design a poster or a graphic

Canva, or Adobe Express.
Free to start, enormous template libraries, and genuinely good. None of the scheduling tools on this page compete with them and neither do we.
- You already write your own posts and just need them scheduled

Buffer, or Semrush's Social Poster if you already pay for Semrush.
Pure schedulers are cheaper than anything that also writes, and if Semrush is already on your card you may have this bundled and not know it.
- You run several clients or need approvals and seats

Sendible or Hootsuite.
Agency features — approval chains, per-client reporting, many seats — are a different product to a single-owner tool, and we do not build them.
- You are one person running a business and the posts never get made

05 · Before you pay
Five things worth checking, whichever you pick
Whichever way you go, ask these five first. They are the questions we found hardest to answer about the tools above — which is exactly why they matter. Notice that none of them is about features.

Who is the company, and where?
A name, a registered number, an address. If a subscription site will not say who is behind it, you have nobody to chase when the billing goes wrong. Ours is Aceman Software Solutions Ltd, 12928098, registered in England.

What currency will you actually be charged in?
Several of the tools above bill in euros or US dollars. Your bank will add a conversion fee to every month, and the price you were quoted is not the price you pay.

Is anybody home?
Look for a dated blog post, a changelog, a support page that has been touched this year. Software that publishes nothing is not necessarily abandoned — but you cannot tell, and you are buying a subscription.

Can you find a real review anywhere?
Check G2, Capterra, Trustpilot or Product Hunt. A tool with no third-party footprint at all is not disqualified by it, but it does mean the only evidence you have is the marketing.

Does it understand the British year?
Mothering Sunday is in March here, not May. Bank holidays, plate-change months, school terms and the clocks going back all move trade. A tool built for a different calendar will keep prompting you at the wrong time.

So where do we fit in all this?
What is different
- It makes the post, rather than storing one you made. You give it a photo and a line about the business; it comes back with three finished options — words, layout and all — and you pick one.
- It is priced in pounds by a company in Leeds, so the amount on the page is the amount that leaves your account.
- It knows the British trading year, which is the part every tool built elsewhere gets wrong.
- There are ten free UK guides on this site — for salons, barbers, plumbers, electricians, cleaners, restaurants, cafés, garages, gardeners and driving instructors — that are useful whether or not you ever pay us anything.
Where something else is the better answer
- If you want to lay out a poster yourself, use Canva. It is free, it is excellent, and we are not trying to replace it.
- If you have a marketing team who write the copy already and just need it scheduled across many accounts, a scheduler like Buffer or Hootsuite is built for that and will cost less.
- If you already pay for Semrush, its Social Poster is included — check before you buy anything else.
- If you need approval workflows, multi-client agency reporting or a dozen seats, we do not do that. Sendible and the agency tools do.
